YFILE · PRIVATE PREVIEW

A file manager you install, not one you sign into.

yfile keeps a library of recordings and transcripts in this browser's own storage, on this machine. No account, no upload, no server to be down.

The yfile Library, as installed, captured from the demo: the dock with Recents, Favorites, Locations and Tags; a folder list holding six folders named Session, Podcasts, Meetings, Interviews, Lectures and Trash; a details pane reading Nothing selected.
The Library, as installed. Six folders in the demo; nothing uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload to.

Proof

Installed like a program.

The browser offers Install, and yfile then opens in its own window. There is no store and no download beyond the page itself.

Everything works offline after the first visit.

The shell, the styles, the fonts and every library operation, because the data is on this device. Only the first visit needs the network.

Updates wait for you, never reload under you.

A new version shows a notice with one Restart control. Nothing reloads on its own, and nothing you have open is lost.

Ask yfile

A scripted guide that runs from this page. It answers only what the app can prove about itself, and nothing you type here leaves this device.
